Our Trade Finance Program supports the world’s farmers, helping them adopt Regenerative Agricultural practices on a large scale.

Through the program, much-needed trade finance becomes accessible to farmers, providing them with the means to improve soil health while continuing to grow their businesses.

All of this can be attributed to the support of large companies and their investment in Enhancement CPCs™.

How Do Enhancement CPCs support Regenerative Agriculture?

Enhancement CPCs™ allow corporations to generate yield, build shareholder value, and maintain strong balance sheet health while accomplishing their ESG initiatives. A company can provide credit enhancement support to the Trade Finance Program, which aids in the creation of pools of capital. This capital, in turn, becomes available to farmers and ranchers around the globe that are putting soil health first by adopting regenerative agricultural practices.

UFT Commercial Finance is a principal in a regenerative agricultural partnership being launched at COP 26. Alongside our partner, Springfield Agri, farmers are able to prequalify for initial participation in the Trade Finance Program by developing and submitting a soil transition plan, which allows them to receive trade finance for viable transactions. Upon farmer registration, Springfield Agri will monitor the farmer’s progress “in the field” over a multi-year horizon in order to maintain the integrity of the program and assure the farmer is abiding by its regenerative agricultural plan. Determining the economic viability of proposed trade finance transactions rests with UFT Commercial’s other partner, StoneX Commodity Solutions, a commodity supply chain management company that specializes in logistics, price risk management and commodity inventory finance and that may eventually act as the sole program administrator.

Using a technologically based framework across a global network, the program seamlessly:

  • Processes underlying corporate sponsors’ purchase of enhancement CPCs

  • Enables UFT Commercial’s funding of the credit enhanced finance strategy

  • Admits pre-qualified farmers to the Program

  • Executes each individually approved finance transaction by the Program Administrator

  • Positions Springfield Agri for the continuous monitoring of farmer progress under the soil transition plan
